With the quiet time in motor sport events over the Christmas and New Year period its good to start making some plans for something to do in the early part of 2017, and the Historic Rally Car Register [HRCR] have come up with what could be the perfect start to the New Year.

For some years now HRCR have held their Annual Open Day at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon, which in itself it an opportunity to see some lovely cars on display as well as to see what events and Championships the Club will be running during the year. However this year they are expanding the day to include a Motoring News Rally Forum to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of the era which was the Motoring News Rally Championship.

The Open Day will run from 10.00am to around 3.00pm and this will be followed by a Rally Forum at 5.00pm with guests in attendance who became icons of the Championship over the years and will be hosted by the now legendary Howard Davies, who himself was a competitor with Gwyndaf Evans. To fill in the gap between the two events HRCR are providing meals so its an ideal opportunity to make it a whole day event.

More details are available below and also importantly the link to the website where tickets can be purchased and food ordered. As the info says this will be a very popular occasion and tickets are limited to 200 so attendees will need to book early to avoid disappointment.
